TLE EDISON MEETS WITH

THE EDISON BOARD OF EDUCATION

TLE Edison Management met with Mary Mavroudas, Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction for Edison Public Schools.  The goal of the meeting was to discuss the Public School requirements for Kindergarten and to ensure our TLE Curriculum is meeting or exceeding what will be required of the children when they enter their Kindergarten classrooms.  After a thorough review of TLE’s educational offerings, Ms. Mavroudas was very impressed to hear that TLE was using NAEC certified curriculum with L.E.A.P. workbooks.  The combination of the L.E.A.P. curriculum, combined with seven enrichment programs and Fun with Phonics Reading Program plus weekly sign language, Spanish and technology lessons provides TLE children with a full education curriculum.

TLE Management also discussed the importance of placing children in the appropriate classroom along with peers of the same age group.  “The social development of a child is just as important as a child’s academic development”, claims Ms. Mavroudas.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on the Edison School’s TALENTS gifted program, where children are selected not just for their high level of academic ability, but also for their leadership, creativity and problem solving a abilities.  At The Learning Experience of Edison, our mission is to develop our children in these areas, so that they are high potential candidates for gifted programs like the one in the Edison School System.
